Drill researchers show what they can do. At Europe's largest trade fair for geothermal energy, the GeoTHERM in Offenburg: Clausthal researchers from the Institute for Petroleum and Natural Gas Technology (ITE) and the Drilling Simulator Celle (DSC) are currently presenting themselves. "Our drilling stand is meeting with great interest among the visitors to the fair," says Professor Joachim Oppelt, Director of the DSC, happily. Since the beginning of the year, the facility for high-performance drilling technology has been one of a total of five research centers at Clausthal University of Technology.
